Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) is proud to announce the successful implementation and deployment of the PeopleSoft Financials applications for the Artesian Water Company in Newark, De. Artesian Water selected PeopleSoft as an enterprise solution to replace an unsupported legacy system. The project included both the PeopleSoft Financials applications, as well as, the CIS modules developed by SPL WorldGroup (subsequently acquired by Oracle). Phase 1 was the implementation of the CIS software. Phase 2 was the implementation of Financials.
Artesian selected ESG to lead the implementation of the PeopleSoft Financials applications to replace the legacy system. The scope of the project included implementing PeopleSoft modules for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Inventory, Projects and Asset Management. The project faced several challenges from the conversion of legacy data to the integration of the CIS information. ESG was tasked with providing full project management, as well as, functional leads for each module, and technical consultants to support the development effort. ESG also provided change management for the project.

One of the most critical issues was the goal of implementing the software to start the new fiscal year. ESG employed a rapid implementation approach to meet this goal. The project was completed both on-time and under budget.
