Join ESG's Raj Sundaram for a presentatio n on the Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) - A Rapid Solution for Accounting Legacy Data. This presentation will touch on:
- How the application and events can be defined easily in FAH;
- How to define meaningful transaction objects, and reference objects for the hub to process;
- The rule-based engine for accounting, with easily maintainable mapping sets and user-friendly forms for defining the Hub;
- Functional and technical components of the Hub;
- Shared accounting tables across SLA and the Hub; and
- A deep dive into the technical architecture of the hub and its database objects.
ESG's Sean McGuire, a leader in Oracle eBusiness solution implementations and ESG's VP, Oracle Practice, will be joined by ESG's David Moore for a presentation on Leveraging Reference Objects in Subledger Accounting and Financial Accounting Hub (FAH). Attendees will learn how to leverage reference objects in Subledger Accounting and Financial Accounting Hub in order to achieve the desired accounting distributions.
The presentation will review what reference objects are, give examples, and illustrate how to create additional reference objects and potential uses including: many-to-one or many-to-many account segment mappings, to filter transactions, to split transactions, and how reference objects can be used to simplify conditions on journal line types and account derivation rules.
Raj, Sean and David have each supported multiple R12 Financials and Financials Accounting Hub (FAH) implementations and are able to provide insight into some of the common issues faced in both Hub implementations and in generating accurate accounting distributions.
